The events / tours detailed on this page are available for anyone accompanying Conference delegates or BULKEX participants and can be booked via the Registration Fees page.

Welcome Reception, Monday 3rd August:
River Cruise, 5.00-7.00pm, departing/returning South Bank Wharf (a few minutes walk from the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, BCEC).
Note: People do need to make their own travel arrangements to/from the BCEC.
Cost: $80 p/p (included in "full" Conf registration fee; see Registration Fees webpage).

Tour 1: "Experience Mooloolaba", Tuesday 4th August:
Departs Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre: 9.00am.
Returns to Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre by: 4.30pm (approx).
Description: Explore Mooloolaba's famous beach, "Loo with a View", boardwalk, boutique shops, marina and outdoor cafes at your leisure.
Includes: 1-hour river/canal/harbour cruise.
Optional Extra: admission to Underwater World ($30 p/p), which is to be paid at entry to Underwater World.
Excludes: Any meals (there will be many options and time for lunch in one of the many beachside cafes).
Cost: $50 p/p

Tour 2: "Montville In Style", Wednesday 5th August:
Departs Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre: 8.00am.
Returns to Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre by: 4.30pm (approx).
Description: Visit the largest Ginger Factory in the World and go on a guided "Taste of Ginger" tour to view the factory - with free tastings!! Also, visit an adjacent Macadamia Nut Factory - with more free tastings!! Explore the fascinating village of Montville with over 100 craft shops, galleries and specialist retailers.
Includes: Free morning tea at the Ginger Factory and the "Taste of Ginger" tour.
Excludes: Lunch (there will be many options and time for lunch at Montville).
Cost: $110 p/p.

Gala Banquet, Wednesday 5th August:
Venue: Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC), Mezzanine Level.
Time: 6.30-10.30pm.
Includes: Pre-dinner drinks (6.30-7.00pm); 3-course Meal (7.00-10.30pm).
Dress Code: Smart Casual.
Note: People do need to make their own travel arrangements to/from the BCEC.
Cost: $160 p/p (included in "full" Conf registration fee; see Registration Fees webpage).

Tour 3: "Steve Irwin's" Australia Zoo Tour, Thursday 6th August:
Departs Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre: 8.00 am.
Returns to Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre by: 4:30 pm (approx).
Description: Here's a unique opportunity to get a taste of Steve Irwin's Australian Zoo, experience amazing wildlife from exotic elephants and tigers right through to our own cuddly koalas and not-so-cuddly crocodiles. You can get up close to everything at the Australia Zoo.
Includes: Zoo entry.
Excludes: Any Meals (there will be many options and time for lunch).
Cost: $95 p/p

Package Deals
(a) All 3 tours combined (Tour 1, 2 and 3) will cost: $230 p/p.
(b) All inclusive ticket (combining above 3 tours, the Welcome Reception and Gala Banquet) will cost: $450 p/p.

NOTE:

• Minimum number for each tour = 10 people.
• If a tour is cancelled due to low numbers, please contact the Conference Management team at the CHoPS+ICBMH Registration Desk to arrange a refund.
• For people with walking difficulties for each tour, for the first two tours guests can do as much or as little walking as they would like and only have to navigate 3 steps onto the tour bus.
• For the Zoo tour there can be a reasonable amount of walking, but there is a free people mover that can take guests from one side of the park to the other (this will still involve some walking) or guests with difficulties could hire electric chairs at a cost that are available at the park.
• Pick-up & Drop Off location for Tours 1, 2 and 3: Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, BCEC: bus parking area at corner of Grey Street and Russell Street - one block from Rydges Hotel half-way along the BCEC (in between the Queensland Performing Arts Centre and the Queensland Conservatorium). Look for Noosa Hinterland Tours bus.
